This engagement covers the promotional website, not film production or scoring.

Case study overview

A cinematic home for a film in production.

LuCre8z partnered with Upstate Filmworks to develop the digital presence for UNBROKEN… 1, 2, an independent boxing feature film based in Atlanta, GA.

The project required transforming film and production information, cast assets, press content, audition materials, partnership opportunities, and contact information into a cohesive cinematic web experience.

The visual direction was built around the tone of a contemporary boxing drama, using dramatic imagery, strong typography, dark cinematic styling, and intentional red accents while keeping the experience professional, responsive, and easy to navigate.

Key decision

Give each audience a clear route.

Decision
Separate the film story and cast from auditions, press, partnerships and contact information.
Why
Film audiences, prospective talent and potential partners arrive with different questions.
Impact
Dedicated information paths allow visitors to find their next step while sharing the same cinematic identity.

The digital experience

One destination for the story around the film.

The website brings the film’s story, cast, production announcements, auditions, press, brand partnership opportunities, and audience contact paths into one cohesive experience.

Its information architecture gives each audience a clear place to begin while maintaining a unified film identity across desktop and mobile.

LuCre8z scope

Creative direction through launch support.

Direction + Experience

  • Creative direction and visual concept development
  • Website architecture and user journey
  • Responsive website design and development
  • Film and cast presentation
  • Press and production announcement integration

Content + Launch

  • Audition information and promotional asset integration
  • Brand Partnership page development
  • Contact and inquiry architecture
  • Custom domain configuration and launch support
  • Ongoing content framework for future cast, trailer, press, and production updates

Development + client revisions

Built around the production’s changing needs.

LuCre8z organized supplied film information and artwork into a responsive Framer website, developed the visual direction, integrated promotional materials and supported the custom-domain launch.

Client-led revisions included removing a teaser and principal-photography date, moving brand partnerships to a dedicated page, adding audition material, revising typography and updating the hero imagery. Each change adjusted the website to the information the production needed to communicate.

The dark palette, dramatic imagery and red accents support the boxing drama’s tone; clear navigation and readable type keep practical information usable. The site is live and remains in active development as production information changes.

Audition launch support

A digital home designed for change.

One early real-world use of the website was supporting the film’s broader casting campaign. Official audition information and the supplied audition flyer were incorporated into the experience so prospective talent could access casting details alongside the film’s other promotional information.

Client-provided production updates indicated several hundred participants in the broader Atlanta casting effort, with approximately 60 additional audition tapes submitted remotely by email. Website-specific conversion attribution was not available.

Designing for change

Launch was a phase, not the finish line.

Because casting and production information continue to evolve, the website was structured to accommodate ongoing updates rather than treating launch as the end of the project.

As cast members, partnerships, promotional assets and production information are confirmed, the digital experience can continue expanding alongside the film. That requires flexible content architecture, iterative web development, stakeholder communication, responsive design and ongoing client support.

Future development

Built to evolve with production.

The website is structured to evolve alongside the film’s production. Future phases may include the official trailer, expanded character profiles, production imagery, additional press and media assets, and enhanced cinematic interactive elements as official materials become available.

Live Website · Ongoing Development
Outcome + ongoing impact

The website established a centralized digital presence for UNBROKEN… 1, 2 while the film was still in development and gave the production a flexible platform for sharing evolving information. Audition information and the official flyer were incorporated during the casting phase as part of the broader campaign. The website remains an active project and will continue evolving as casting, production details, partnerships and promotional materials are finalized.

About the engagement: LuCre8z was responsible for the film’s digital presentation, creative direction, website development and online experience. Upstate Filmworks is the client and film-production company; this case study does not represent LuCre8z as the producer of the film.

My role + process + deliverables

Build a useful website while the film develops.

Opportunity

The production needed a professional digital home during casting. Content priorities had to work before every cast member, partnership and promotional asset was finalized.

Process

Organize supplied film information by audience need; define page architecture; translate the film tone into visual direction; develop responsive pages in Framer; integrate approved materials; revise with the client; support domain configuration and launch.

My deliverables

Website strategy, information architecture, responsive web experience, promotional content integration, audition information, partnership/contact paths, client revisions and launch support. Domain and hosting planning support the ongoing handoff.

Active project

The website is live while casting and production continue. Content expands as the production confirms information. Next evaluation could examine casting-page engagement, inquiry paths and mobile navigation; no website-attributed audition total is claimed.
